“Another aspect of d’Accardi’s painting is in the landscape itself, which he masterfully achieves through both masses of intense colour and slight hints of lighter or brighter tone, such as in the small openings in the abundant foliage; and with gashes and open spaces, or cracks between trees and in the woods, which allow for the view of inhabited places in the depictions of rural settings; and, finally, in broad, solidly constructed landscapes.”
