[…] He conveys the joy he felt in painting Nature with inventive flair and harmony of light and colour. But not colour for colour’s sake, not aberrant mental suggestions of an abstractness that can lead to the bizarre, but an aesthetic order that, thanks to the mastery of technical means, highlights the clarity of a figurative language that unites colouristic material of primary importance to the drawing’s graphic line.”
